CONFUSED ABOUT HOW TO PICK THE RIGHT STONE? LOOK NO FURTHER.

Picking the right stone can be a tough decision so I’m very excited to finally be able to give you a in depth post on how to pick the right stone in person. Before we start I want to give a huge thank you and shout out to The Bodhi Tree in Peace River, AB for letting me come in and take pictures in the shop. Barb was so sweet when I contacted her about wanting to do this.

As soon as you walk into a store I’m sure you’ll be able to tell if its the right store for you. It should feel warm and welcoming. It shouldn’t be making you feel awkward or unwelcome. It's always helpful to shop at a place with knowledgeable staff, but it is also a MUST to research if you are going in for a specific stone. Try googling what the imitation of a stone looks like, for example if I am looking for Malachite I would type into google two searches: Imitation Malachite and Fake Malachite. Then I would look at the pictures, sometimes I like to also look at the geological information on the stone, but unless you are fairly knowledgeable about collecting stones this may just be confusing. Now you’ve researched the stone you want, it’s time to head into a store and pick it out! If you are shopping online be sure to read shop reviews, policies, and ask questions. If you are unsure about anything or wanting more information, it would be any good shop owners pleasure to answer your questions.

Now we are off to the rock shop! Shop at a place that you love the atmosphere of, this is where the Bodhi Tree comes in for me in Peace River. Let's talk quickly about what to do if you are just going into a store to see what catches your eye, and you don’t have a specific stone you are looking for. Walk in, see what catches your eye, pick a few stones up to feel their energy. If there’s any you can’t put down or stop thinking about, that is probably the one. Most of us have a mini computer sitting in our pocket called a smart phone. It takes two minutes to do a quick search to see if that stone is what it is labeled as. You can also ask any employees you see, keep in mind if they are new they may not know.

Ways to pick out exactly what stone to take home:

- use a pendulum

- hold the stone in your hand and ask

- if you can’t put it down, that’s your stone

So our first option is to use a pendulum. To do this you hold the stone in the palm of your hand, and hold the pendulum over top. Ask the universe if this stone is the right one for you, or if you need this stone, also specify what will mean yes, and what will mean no. Ex: left for yes, right for no, back and forth for yes, circle for no.

Second option, hold the stone in your hand, stand up straight, and close your eyes. Again ask if this stone is the right one for you, specify if forward means yes and backwards means no for you. Keep going until you find the right stone.

Lastly, if you keep thinking about a specific stone or just can’t put it down that’s your stone!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, be sure to show me the stones you’ve picked out!
